The DailyFX websites were originally designed, built and launched without a lot of strategy and resources involved. We were tasked to help give the entire site a new user experience and facelift, through research based decisions and user testing. Also extending and defining the visual brand along the way.

Color Palette
The core brand colors contain cool neutral tones and two variants of the brand’s bright orange. This gives us the overall balance of color on the site. These primary colors define the dominant palette across mobile and desktop widgets.
In order to round out the color system, it’s important to make use of selected accent colors. From things like alerts and notifications, to way finding and zoning, our color accents can add variety to the primary color grouping.

What We Delivered
Overall, our goal was to help them become a competitive publisher in the space and ensure users are consuming as much content as possible in an engaging way. Not only were we giving the site a visual facelift, we also wanted to ensure we were providing users with a clear path and experience, for any type of conversion. We also gave a lot of thought to typography – focusing on the readability and hierarchy of the font choices and adding visual elements such as patterns to add to that hierarchy.
Tactically, we delivered 20 ‘main’ page designs – a digital style guide with downloadable assets – custom patterns and icons – and a component library derived from the page designs via Sketch/Zeplin.
